A full class of twelve on reformers, seen from above

One small room in Mill Yard.

Twelve reformers, one dark room behind them, and a bench for tea. That is the whole studio.

We opened in 2019 because every class we tried was louder than the one before it.

So we built the opposite. Twelve machines, because a teacher can only really watch twelve people. Slow tempos, because that is where the work is. No mirrors, no music you have to shout over.

Most people come for a sore back. They stay because someone here noticed when they missed a week.

The small things.

Soft leather, worn in by a few thousand hands.

Twelve pairs of shoes lined up under an oak bench

Shoes

Off at the door. Everyone is the same height in socks.

Cups of tea on an oak bench, seen from above

On the bench afterwards. Nobody rushes you out.
